On the first Monday of may, every year for the past 70 years, there is an unforgettable social gathering at 1000 5th avenue. You may wonder what kind of shindig could be happening at such an address which happens to be the Metropolitan Museum of Art; it would be none other than the infamous Met Ball.Read More
With most of my readers in new york, you will understand the hate that I have for the cold. While we were able to enjoy the many days of 50's and up, now we are faced with 30's and below. I don't know if it's just me, but once it is cold outside, I hate getting dressed. I tend to rotate the same pieces over and over. I stop caring if I wore something twice in a month, as long as I am warm, that is all I care for. I have heard many people say the same thing. The question is, how the hell do we keep warm and still keep it looking cute. No worries fellas, I've got you too! Fall is made for layering the most adorable pieces, however the winter...that is just misery. However I've got a few looks to help keep you intact.
I made 6 looks total to make your life a little easier. Ideas on how to spruce up the closet and still keep it looking fly.

Hello my name is Fabiola, I love spring, summer, and fall...and in that order. I am somewhat happy to see Fall here, just so I can put my leather jacket. However what I don't like, is what's to come once fall done. I DON'T DO WINTER! Thank god it hasn't been a true winter in some years, which I will gladly take. But what I will say about Fall, are some of the best layering pieces. I made sure to do a quick, cute, simple, basic, and classic back to school wear for Catered for Curves.
Where do you go wrong with a basic denim jean that fits you just right, a black sweater and the unforgettable camo jacket. First let me tell any curvy girl shopping at Rag & Bone that the best fitting jean will always be the Dre. The Dre fits like a skinny boyfriend so it has more room for thighs and butt, however I will say, depending on your waist line that you might have to get it taken in a bit. I hate altering pants just as much as the next girl, but you will be happy once you get in some good wear. As for the black sweater, it's always a classic staple piece to have, and this sweater has some great warmth. I always love having that one piece that will give your outfit an umph and that's where the camo jacket comes in. It's great for layering any outfit. As for the Rag and bone Moto Boot that has been done almost every fall, has worn in very well. I have had them for about 2 years now and they have been worn as my rain boots and sometimes a snow boot. The best thing about them is even when put through hell, they still look pretty great.

If you know me, you know that this is a look totally up my alley. I will give you the girl but I still ask to wear as many boy like pieces as possible. So of course I threw on a pair of kicks and a leather. This keaton stripe dress was too comfortable to describe. It felt like just another layer of skin that you could easily dress up, however I paired it back to the Rag & Bone kent high top pebbled leather sneaker that I've had for forever. My Blk Dnm jacket was the perfect piece to bring it all together. This look felt very Harlem to me, so of course I had to hit you with the b-boy stance from back in the day! :-)
Dress Size Medium - Leather Jacket Size Large
With a short hair do you know I had to throw a hat on at some point. If you have followed me on instagram for sometime, you know this is my #1 head piece. But more importantly having layers is key for the fall. I will always love the ripped denim look, so I went with the Atwar style, paired it back to the easy and comfortable button up flannel and a safari like vest. The vest was a great look to dress up the flannel and give it more substance. I wanted to add some extra color by adding in the burgundy fedora and Newbury boots. This is the kind of look that I would wear both for the weekday or weekend because I feel like it would fit into almost any setting.

Let me know what you guys thought about Rag & Bone/Jean Fit and please let me know who else you'd like to see featured on CFC
With these hot as Hades type of days, it only made sense for me to do a CFC post geared towards a brand that has breathable clothing. So I automatically went for Free People, known for it airy flow and sometimes a very 70's feel. The way I see it, why not just go with that look all-around because I can sometimes be bit of a hippy/gypsy girl. I just tapped into that look and paired everything back to hoops, a choker and for barefoot for most of this shoot.
This dress was my ultimate mini. This dress was so easy to put on and feel comfortable that I didnt relaly want to take it off. I did take into consideration the length of the dress, yet you could only feel so careless that if someone got a quick peak you could only say "I hope you enjoyed the show". Playing on the innocent side with a bit of cleavage and lots of leg, I would totally wear this for a summer day date. With my usual dress size at 6/8, I went for a size 10 just so it could flow better at the hips.
Ready to run through the grass with banjo in hand and one of those ribbon wands, I am ready to start my spiritual retreat. Please don't say I am the only one that gets that feeling with looking at these pictures. If you don't see it, I definitely felt it and loved it. This fringe vest, although a bit heavy felt amazing to play in. The outfut was fun, silly and free spirited. I wore a Medium in the top, size 12 in the bottom and vest was a size medium. If the pant came in a size 14, I would have definitely opted for it, just to be more laxed, however the 12 covered all the main basis.
Want to feel like a goodess when walking through the feidls on a windy afternoon? Well this dress will be your best friend. While this dress looks like it would weigh a ton because of all the fabric, the layers are like ventilation! As Kenya Moore would coin it, I felt "Gone With The Wind Fabulous". When it came to this dress, I stuck with my true dress size, 6.
Can we say sex on a stick. Don't get me wrong, I was definitely hot in this number, however because this dress clings to the body and gives you a nice plunging neckline, it says "Yea I know you see me". This dress came in both the black and nude color, but black is always a go to in New York of course. Wearing this dress I thought I should be an extra in the movie "The Craft", I would just fit right in, minus the craziness. With this dress, I put on a large, however I could also go with the medium easily because there was give in the fabric.
Is this me dimples and all? Why YES, I am so glad you noticed! This top that I easily choose to wear as a bathing suit cover up is super cute. This piece is easier to wear as a cover up due to its heavier knit. Would I wear as a top during the summer top? Not so much, but after getting out of the water and needing something to throw on and keep me warm. Yes. A no brainer when it comes to style, however I will definitely be wearing come fall with no hesitation. With this top, I went for a size large just so it could hang more on the sleeves and the body all around. I always choose to go with an oversized look most of the time.
How'd i do? Would these be pieces that you would consider putting in your summer closet?
What brands should I work with next? Always love hearing your input!
