We are finally back! Sorry its taken me so long to get Catered for Curves together, but I am here to keep it consistent every month. This month I decided to start off with a brand I like but sometimes hate, Zara. They are known to have all of the looks straight off the runway for a price that we can all afford. I first fell in love with Zara, years ago when I went to Spain and bought a pair of pants that fit me like a glove [ NO BELT NEEDED]. However, the US stores aren't the same, they tend to forget about the curvier girls. But every now and then you can find some gems.
For the first look, I was going for the soccer mom who is also an entrepreneur and killing everything along the way. I love the neutral shades of brown, tan and pink together. For my true followers, you know pink is not usually my go to color, but this is just the right shade which I truly love. With this outfit, I went with a size medium top, but if I wanted to keep it a little looser, a large would still have worked just fine. As for the pant, which I was surprised actually fit, was a size XL. I say surprised because Zara isn't always the most bottom friendly, especially with pants, however these have an elastic waist band and a back zip. For those who are a bit bigger than me [size 10/12] in pants, these pants run to a XXL [a very rare win, sad]. As for the vest it was a size Large as well, I wanted the oversized look for this.
For my second look, I went with something I would easily wear during the day or night time. With the bright blue striped top against my skin-tone it was a no brainer. I once again went for an oversized look to give you a nice peekaboo of the cleavage, and the ribbon along the waist, helps to accentuate your curves. I paired the size Large top, back to the same suede pants as the last picture but in black. I also added some chunky boots and a chic fedora; Don't ever be afraid to add some fun components to your look.
This look was the epitome of #CozySeason. An oversized chunky sweater is always in my closet and gets worn about 4 out of the 7 days a week. The size medium sweater was paired with this suede front snap skirt, which is like pure heaven. I seriously didn't even want to take it off because of how buttery smooth it felt. I went for a size Large in the skirt as well. I finished off the look with a pair of black suede knee high boots.
Hello retro chic! The one department I usually always like when it comes to Zara is their dresses. I can usually find an easy going dress to fit me, because they replicate some of their same designs over and over again. The ribbed dress is one of those pieces, and this time its in a green velvet knee length dress. It hugs the body, so ladies spanks will be your best friend! I went with a size Medium in the dress [ I usually size down so it can suck the life outta all my body] and paired it to my own leather jacket [not Zara].
Let me know what you guys think about Zara and their fits! Also please let me know who else you'd like to see featured on CFC
